We went out this morning to get her a big girl highchair finally. She is eating her rice cereal very good now and has tested all of the veggies (sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, peas, and green beans) - her favorites so far seem to be carrots and sweet potatoes. This weekend we started on the fruits and so far she seems to be a big fan of the pears. As you can see from the pictures, she also got to use a sippy cup for the 1st time today. Although she wasn't a huge fan of the contents of the cup (just water) she seemed to master it pretty well. She also loves playing with the spoon when we are all done. She might be feeding herself in no time based on the skills I saw today.
6 Months Old!!
Avery turned 6 months old this last Friday, August 22nd. We had her 6 month checkup with Dr. Shidler that afternoon and she is doing great! She weighed in at at petite 14lbs 8oz (25th %) and 26in long (50th %). No signs of teeth yet, but the Dr. told us that she should be drinking 4oz of water a day b/c she needs the flouride while her teeth are developing.
