Such a big girl!

Our little girl is holding her head up so well now that we thought we would give her a break from all the tummy time and test out the Bumbo seat. She loves it!

Look at those big feet!

Hank is getting a little braver each day and actually layed down next to her while she was hanging out in her Bumbo. He is always very interested in what she is doing, but is gone in a flash if she makes any sudden moves.

Look at that lip

Mommy and Daddy are in big trouble with this pouty lip. Two seconds after this picture was taken, she was smiling like the happiest baby in the world.:)

2 Months Old

Avery turned 2 months old today! She had her first round of shots on Friday at her doctors appt. and we made it through with only a few tears. She weighed in at 10 lbs. 9 oz. and was 22 1/2 inches long, which puts her in the 50th percentile for her age.

Making Faces

Avery has really started to show off her personality this last week. She is especially happy when she first wakes up in the mornings (unlike her Mommy). I took a few pictures of her stretching and smiling routine this morning to share with all of you. Enjoy!

Avery's Baptism

We had Avery baptized last Sunday at our church here in Gretna. We were so blessed that our family and some of our closest friends could be here to help us celebrate such an important day in Avery's life.

Her Godparents are her Aunt Erika (Alex's sister) and her Uncle Jason & Uncle Mike (my two brothers).

My godparents, Aunt Mary & Uncle Elwyn, were able to share the day with us.

My friend Catherine was nice enough to be our designated photographer so that we could relax and enjoy the day without worrying about getting the perfect snapshots. Thanks Catherine!!

Avery's 1st Easter - and So Many Cousins

Avery took her first road trip to SSC for Easter weekend. The truck was pretty crowded, so Hank got to sit (or should I say sprawl out) up front with Alex while I sat in back with Avery and the luggage.

She looked so darn cute in her Easter dress, but unfortunately she spit up ALL over herself about 10 minutes after we walked in the door. Thankfully Grandma Pat was nice enough to get it all washed and we put it back on in time for pictures.

Her cousins - all 9 of them - were so excited to meet and hold her.

Caitlin was sad that she didn't get to hold her new baby cousin, but she had a temperature of 102.7 degrees so she kept her distance.

Libby (the youngest cousin) is a bit too young to hold her just yet.

Mommy Loves Snuggle Time

Yay!! Daddy can help feed me now

We found out last night that Avery doesn't care where her dinner comes from, as long as she gets to eat. She had no problem latching onto her very first bottle. Maybe Daddy can help with some of the 3am feedings now...well at least on the weekends.

I get my good looks from my Daddy

Everyone keeps saying that Avery looks like her daddy....and if you check out the baby picutres below there is definitely no arguing that. :)

She sure does smell good...

Other than smelling her about 20 times a day, Hank doesn't seem to notice Avery too much. He is still getting LOTS of attention - especially from Dad. Avery doesn't seem to notice Hank too much either. He can bark 2 feet from her and she doesn't even flinch.

We Love Bath Time

Avery absolutely LOVED her first bath at home. Hank even tried to get in on the action by climbing into the bathtub.
